Many trees and flowers are there. So the air is very clean and we can hear birds singing in the trees. It is so wonderful. Our teaching buildings are around the garden and look like our teachers' arms to welcome us. 　　If there is no money, I can't use this microphone to speak to you and we can't have such a room to hold such a competition. Without money, we can't study in such a schoolyard. 　　Most of us have dreams about the future, dreams of having a good job and making much money. Surely someone has thought at times “If only I had a lot of money, I could be the happiest person in the world.” In fact it's the main mistake that people make about money.

　　However, is money the road to happiness? Not really! Many people work every day, work overtime, work weekends to make a lot of money. Are they happy? No. They are too busy making money. Meanwhile, their personal lives, if they have any, fall apart. They have no time to form or to maintain friendship. They even lose the abilities to relax and to enjoy themselves. Enjoying means taking things, taking time to see, to hear, to taste, to smell, to feel. They do not take time to do this. They say: “I'll do it when I have enough money to retire” then they find that it is too late.

　　Why we usually make such a mistake and even more mistakes? Activists say it is because of money itself. They think money has changed many things. For example, they think money has changed our way to measure someone's value in the society. They even regard money as the source of evil. Also, they hate money, but they are wrong, completely wrong.

　　In my opinion, it is unfair to money. Money is a tool. Well, there's no denying that we do something harmful with money. But we can't say money is the source of evil. Just like a hammer, we can use a hammer to kill someone, but can we say a hammer is a devil? It is the same with money.

　　Money is neither good nor bad itself. It is a mirror, a perfect and important mirror, and a mirror that reflects both the darkness and the brilliance of humanity. In other words, all depend on us.

　　Honorable judges, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen:

　　It is a great honor and pleasure to be here on this beautiful Saturday morning to share with you my sentiments about life and passion for the English language.

　　About a year and a half ago, I took part in my very first English Speech Contest. When I stood before the microphone with all eyes starring directly at me, I could hardly speak. I stood there, embarrassed and helpless, struggling in vain for the right thing to say. My fears had paralyzed me.

　　While my passion for English has never changed, I lost my courage to speak in public. When my professor again encouraged me to take part in this Competition, I said “no.” I couldn't endure yet another painful experience. He looked me straight in the eye and said something that pierced my heart. I will never forget his words. “Look,” he said, “We all have our fears, and you have yours. You could twist your ankle in a basketball game, but then be afraid to ever play again. Running away can never dispel your fears, but action will. A winner is not one who never fails，but one who never quits.”

　　I spent a whole day with his words twisting and turning in my mind. Then I made the bravest and wisest decision of my life: I would face my fears – and take part in the competition!

　　As it turned out, my dear old professor was right. Now, here I am, once again standing before a microphone. My heart is beating fast, and my mouth is dry, but most importantly, I have faced my fears -- and that makes all the difference!

　　I am sure that many students who have watched the Australian Tennis Championship on CCTV 5 during winter break. So today, i would like to talk about my thoughts of this game.

　　On January 24, Li na won over Sharapova in the women' s singles final. This is the third time that Li na has gone into the grand slam finals. Once again, On January 26, Li na went against a new opponent name Azarenka. On that day of the game, Li na was in the leadin the first inning, but during the second inning, she accidently fell down twice. People were shocked and sad about how she could not continue the game. But because of the people being worried, she doggedly continue the game, making the audience cheer and applauding her for her effort to continue her game. A t that time ,audience applauded foe her persistence.Although she lost the game, he hard effort and insistency moved us and motivated us.

　　And this case also appreaded in tthe men singles final the next day. Two opponents named Murray and Djokovic were against each other. Due to the game, Murray's foot had blisters that affected the way he played. The doctor had to treat his wound with medicine. As human beings, if we had blisters on our foot, we may feel a lot of pain and don't want to walk. However, as an athlete, Murray had to withstand the pain and strive for the victory.

　　As far as I'm concerned, for professional athletes, games have become a part of their life. They fight inthe match, fight for their dream,and enjoy thir games

　　As students, studying is a part of our life.I know we may be confronted with many different kinds of problems,have you ever wangted to give it up? On the one hand, when i faced with difficulties,i felt sad and didn't want to continue,on the other hand ,i would tell myself that:He who can sndure the greatest hardships will be the greatest among men.So to my way of thinking, on the road of studying, we need to learn how to keep ourself motivated and continue studying and learn how to make studying a better way to enjoy rather then boring ourself out.

　　As we know, you have to learn how to fly much more independently instead of under your parents' considerate protection when you get into college, which also means you will come across enormous questions that should be solved by yourself. From my point of view, those main problems can fall into three parts.

　　First of all, the complicated relationship. For one thing, you have to know how cultural differences function in your relationship and respect them. In addition, college students spend less time studying together owing to different courses' choosing, which requires us to devote more energy to building relationship. For the other thing, it is also vital to communicate with your parents often by using mobile phones or other tools.

　　Secondly, the temptations. The college serves us a more relaxed environment mixed with other temptations such as the Internet, alcohols and so on. What's more, the college teachers won't compel you to study like before, you doze off or play cell phone in class, and you flee up the morning class because you get up too late. Such too frequent behaviors will cripple your passion and enthusiasm towards life, so it is essential for us to resist these temptations and insist pursuing our own goals.

　　Thirdly, the balance between study and work. Most of us will choose to take a part time job to earn the extra money or just to exercise ourselves. But it is significant to keep a relatively balanced relationship between them since I always regard the study as our main task, so my principle is adjusting work to follow the schedule of study.

　　In conclusion, whatever issues we meet or miseries we suffer from, confront the hash reality head on, what we can do is remembering the past, living in the present and looking forward to the future.
